Mechanical Engineer – Automotive OBC / DCDC Location: Shanghai (Zhangjiang), China Role Overview This position is responsible for the end-to-end mechanical design of automotive On-Board Chargers (OBC), DC-DC converters, and highly integrated ADAS products. Key Responsibilities - Own mechanical design of automotive OBC, DCDC, and integrated ADAS products - Define mechanical architecture, packaging, installation interfaces, and cooling concepts - Design housings, covers, cooling plates, brackets, and structural components - Use CATIA as the primary CAD tool for 3D design, 2D drawings (GD&T), assemblies, and BOMs - Ensure compliance with HV safety, creepage and clearance, IP67/IP6K9K, vibration, shock, and thermal cycling - Lead or participate in DFMEA, design reviews, and technical root-cause analysis - Support prototype build, validation testing, and mass-production readiness - Collaborate with electrical, system, EMC, manufacturing, and suppliers Preferred Qualifications CATIA must be the primary mechanical CAD tool - Independent capability in full product-level design, drawings, assemblies, and BOM ownership - Mass-production automotive project experience using CATIA English (Mandatory) - Ability to read English specifications, write technical emails and reports in English - Communicate smoothly and effectively with global customers on design reviews and technical meetings Education and Experience - Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering - 8+ years’ mechanical design experience in automotive electronics or power electronics - Experience with OBC, DCDC, inverter, or equivalent HV automotive products - Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and materials
